Consultancy
With many years of onsite experience nationally and internationally, our consultants are perfectly at home on small or large mine sites. contact us today.
Experience has long been recognised as a valuable resource. When it comes to quickly resolving a breakdown, increasing throughput, or minimising expenditure on unnecessary parts, our consultants could be just what you need. Perhaps most useful when a crusher has unexpectedly broken down and no one is sure why or how best to go about repairs, our consultants could save you time and money.
Detail site reports
Audits and improvement plans
In general, people working daily at a crushing site may become familiar with the operation of a running plant; this can be great in some respects but can also have some blinding effects, which could include a failure to notice slowly developing changes in characteristics of machine performance and contributing factors to a failure or significant wear.
Often, when the problem is noticed, serious damage has already taken place. A contributing factor could be that they have not had exposure or the knowledge to understand that
there is a problem arising and that it is likely to occur.
We conduct an on-site audit of site-specific equipment and the crusher circuit in its current state to identify potential issues and provide an improvement plan. Inspections during a scheduled liner change, while the head and bowl are removed from the machine, will allow us to examine most internal components, including the adjustment ring and mainframe seating areas, mainframe liners, and spider arm condition.
Generally, inspections will be performed according to an agreed-upon checklist to be discussed before the work commences to ensure all areas are covered.
Common problems
Following is a list of common issues often caused by poor plant design or incorrect operating procedures, as well as declines in
education and inspection: Excessive wear from incorrect operating procedures. Premature or frequent breakdowns always result in a cost to the business.
Incorrect servicing causes failures or results in unnecessary expenditure. Stockpiling unnecessary parts, which can deteriorate and become unusable, Overutilization of machine capacity causes failures by operating above and beyond design limits or contributing to excessive wear. Underutilization of machine capacity unnecessarily restricts throughput.
Work procedures and instructions – known as safe work procedure -SWI
Crushology has a wide variety of techniques and uses quality imagery and renderings that can make procedures highly effective tools for detailed work procedures.
Crushology can assist in developing or working with site teams or technical document writing teams to transform, create, update, and provide technical expertise and support in preparing quality work procedures that will benefit your workforce.
